Upcoming Events: St. Patty's Day and More

St. Patrick's Day:

Mussel Bar and Grille in Bethesda, MD will offer a two-day special for St. Patty's Day starting Saturday, March. They'll get into the Irish spirit with $5 Jameson, specialty Irish stouts on draft and Rueben Sandwiches with layers of Corned Beef, just like you'd find at a Dublin pub.

Fuego Cocina y Tequileria will be celebrating Santa Patricio with a special green Margarita served Friday, March 15 - Sunday, March 17 for $5 during Happy Hour and $8 for all other times. On St. Patrick's day on Sunday, they will also offer $5 Happy Hour all day long. The green Margarita is called the Battalion de Saint Patrick -- a reference to the European ex-pats who fought as part of the Mexican Army against the U.S. 

Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery will be getting into St. Patrick's Day -- New Orleans-style. Inspired by the famous Parasol's restaurant in New Orleans' Irish Channel neighborhood, chef David Guas will serve up special Corn Beef dishes (with a Louisiana twist, of course!) and his specialty Irish Cafe Au Lait with Irish-style Cream Liqueur and Whipped Cream

March 19, Wine and Soul: Owner/winemaker Sandra Tavares de Silva presents an outstanding selection of Portuguese wines, produced in Douro, overlooking the Douro River and the mountainous region of Portugal. On Tuesday March 19th from 6-9, the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation will host Eat4Life at Crios Modern Mexican. A Celebrity Chef Cook-Off Hosted by the Chris4Life Young Professional Board and Hell’s Kitchen celebrity chef Rock Harper, Eat4Life raises funds and awareness for the Chris4Life Foundation by providing guests with healthy dishes prepared by local and celebrity chefs including Scott Drewno of The Source and event host and Hell's Kitchen winner, Rock Harper. Let Them Eat Pie:  Taste your way to the top at the Semifinal round of the 2013 Makes-Me-Wanna Shout! Devils Backbone + Sushi Pairing Event at Farmers Fishers Bakers:  The Craft Brewers Conference is coming to town (March 25-29) and Farmers Fishers Bakers is getting in on the action. The restaurant is teaming up with Devils Backbone Brewing Company to offer a multi-course beer and sushi pairing on Tuesday, March 26 from 7-9pm. Executive Sushi Chef Thomas Park and Chief Mixologist Jon Arroyo have created a special menu of sushi tasting plates paired with five of the Virginia brewery's craft beers.
