Blue Duck RAMMY Celebration Dinner

By Michaela Rollings

Congratulations are in order to Blue Duck Tavern and Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault for winning the RAMMY for Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year. In celebration of this prestigious award, Blue Duck hosted an intimate cocktail hour on the mezzanine for friends and local media members.

Blue Duck served a tasting of wonderful entree dishes, including melon with Spanish ham and an heirloom tomato salad with goat cheese, both pictured above. The fresh produce of the season held the starring role in these expertly crafted dishes, which were vibrant, light, and refreshing.

Chef Archambault also served some heavier meat dishes to balance out the light seasonal produce. Amongst these meatier dishes were foie gras with sweet jam and cuts of beef tenderloin that absolutely melted in your mouth. These meat dishes were phenomenal.

Last, but certainly not least, Chef Archambault served a series of exquisite desserts including flour-less chocolate cake, hand churned ice cream (flavors included double chocolate, vanilla, mocha, and candied violet frozen yogurt), and blueberry tartlets. The star of the dessert table was the hand churned ice cream, specifically the exotic candied violet frozen yogurt. Additionally, the flour-less chocolate cake was absolutely incredible--a must for chocolate lovers. Next time I'm at Blue Duck, you can bet I'll be saving plenty of room for dessert.
