Looking For An Easter Egg Hunt?

We're celebrating Easter in DC this year.  #babycapcook is now at the fun toddler age where I think she'll really love an Easter Egg Hunt.  We're looking to check out one at the Mandarin Oriental.

Recipe: Homemade Chicken Stock

I love making chicken stock on Sundays. My husband loves when the aroma fills our condo. You just throw your ingredients into the pot and let it simmer for a few hours. This stock will freeze for 3 months so you can put it into one cup containers and defrost it as you need it for cooking. It is perfect for making chicken noodle soup or even using it in chicken pot pie.  Babies love soup!

Trick-Or-Treat

My little Cabbage Patch Kid
#babycapcook began the Halloween celebration last weekend with trick-or-treating at the EEOB, walking the Little Goblin Parade in Logan Circle and attending a pumpkin carving party.  It will be hard to top her first Halloween in Puerto Rico, but she is well on her way.

Menu Planning: Baby Birthday Bash

Previously, our fall pairing dinner was an adult-only feast turned drunk fest that lasted late into the evening. (With 10-12 guests) This year's fall feast was a little different than the past.  This year we celebrated the first birthday of #babycapcook with 35 adults and 10 baby friends.

Grilling with Friends

We grilled up a feast this weekend and #BabyCapCook made lots of new friends.  She was loving a visit from Olive, Pearl, Charlotte and Edith.  Burgers, Brats, Corn, Salads and Sangria were enjoyed by all.  Smiles all around!  Have you been grilling lately?  What's your favorite food to grill?
