Back from Bermuda: Rum Swizzle

So after I had a couple Dark and Stormy cocktails, I moved on to Bermuda's national drink, the Rum Swizzle.  Even the name is fun, right?  We had the first Swizzle at the Ocean Club on our anniversary night and had another at the Pickled Onion and then our final one at the famous Swizzle Inn.  The Swizzle Inn is Bermuda's oldest pub established in 1932.  They promise that you can "swizzle in" and you'll be sure to "swagger out."  We got stuck out on the motorbikes in a big rain storm and did just that. We also got a taste of the extremely large BBQ nachos.

Back to the cocktails...not all Swizzles taste the same so have some fun with it.

Recipe for 1 pitcher of Rum Swizzle

3 shots Gosling's Black Seal Rum
3 shots of Gold Rum or White Rum
1 shot Triple Sec
1 shot Simple Syrup
3 shots  Orange Juice
3 shots Pineapple Juice
Juice of 2 Lemons
4 dashes of Bitters
Splash of Grenadine
Ice

Mix liquids into a  pitcher filled with ice.  Stir.  Strain into cocktail glasses and get your swizzle on!  Send the summer out in style!!
