Dinner at Fiola and a Show

This week we checked out Fiola's pre-theater three-course menu.  Priced at $35 per person, not including tax and gratuity, the pre-theater menu will be served in the restaurant Monday through Thursday from 5:30 – 6:00 PM

Fiola not only has delicious food, but the restaurant interior is stunning.  I love the small tile floor, art work and textures throughout the space.  Also, you have to stop by to see Jeff Faile at the bar so he can mix up some amazing cocktails!
FIOLA PRE-THEATER MENU
Round 1:
OLLI BERKSHIRE PROSCIUTTO with Arugula, Casatica di Bufala, Manodori Balsamico:  I loved the sweetness of the balsamic with the saltiness of the prosciutto.
OR

LA BURRATA: Burrata of Buffalo Mozzarella, Roasted Tomatoes, Pesto of Basil Genovese
I can't ever pass up some creamy Burrata!
Round 2:
Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs

TAJARIN:  Fettucine with roasted tomatoes and basil

SALMERINO: Arctic Char, Prosecco Zabaglione, Savoy Spinach, Olives
Round 3:
ZUPPA INGLESE: Trifle of Raspberry and Lemon Basil Granita (if you're looking for something on the lighter side.)

FIOLA TART:  Hazelnut Cookie Crust, Caramel Ganache, Oatmeal Streusel (so good!)

Fiola is acclaimed Chef Fabio Trabocchi's Trattoria Moderna, located in the heart of Washington, DC at 601 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (entrance on Indiana Avenue). In addition to the pre-theater menu, the restaurant offers traditional Italian dishes with the contemporary interpretation for which Chef Trabocchi is known.
Thanks Sangi!
