Eat With Your Eyes: Blackened Catfish

Is your mouth watering?  The blackened catfish with cow peas and corn salad at The Howard Theatre provides great textures with each bite.  The Howard Theatre has an awesome show line-up, but it is also worth stopping in to try Chef Marcus Samuelsson's rich Southern delights.  Not only is the food delicious, but they have a solid cocktail list.  From the Ray, to the Ella Fitz and the Miles, they offer something for everyone.

The Howard Theatre originally opened in 1910 and launched the music careers of  Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes.  Sadly, the Howard Theatre sat empty for years, but after a $29 million renovation it is open again.  If you're in the mood for some gospel tunes, check out their Sunday Gospel Brunch featuring the Harlem Gospel Choir.

Upcoming Shows:
6/11 Michael Bolton
6/13 Ziggy Marley
6/16 Little Richard
I'm looking forward to going back again soon!
