I love Moroccan food so much that I even dedicated an episode of Capital Cooking to explore the Moroccan flavors. I was really excited to find out about the Sofitel's Moroccan Week.
You can take a journey through the flavors of Morocco.
September 25th to October 3rd
Chef Olivier did an excellent job!
We started with an Amuse Bouche of Briouates with minced beef and oriental spices in triangle crisps.
Then we enjoyed a salad assortment including: Taktouka (sweet pepper and tomato salad), Zaalouk (eggplant caviar salad), Maasala (sweet tomato salad with honey) and Chermoula (marinated bean salad).
Ici Urban Bistro is lavish and contemporary. The Moroccan menu is absolutely delicious.
I loved the lamb tajine. Nice Moroccan wine pairings. This menu is a great way to explore the authentic cuisine of Morocco within DC. I'll be back for seconds!
You can also try some amazing Moroccan recipes in the Capital Cooking Cookbook.

I wish they had brick on the menu, it's been my fave maroccan dish since I was a kid. Though the tagine de poulet au citron confit sounds like a great fall-back plan!!
