The 10th Annual Sugar and Champagne Affair will take place on February 1, 2011 at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. This year’s event will treat attendees to confections and savory entrees from Marcel's, Restaurant Eve, The Source, Bastille, Kushi, Cuba Libré, Trummer’s on Main and Zentan, among many other area restaurants, along with samplings from several of the City’s gourmet food trucks, including Red Hook Lobster, DC Slices, Capmac and DC Empanadas.
Event tickets are $90 per person, including admission for the attendee’s dog. VIP tickets are also available for $150 per person and include access to the Chef’s Tasting Room which features such chefs as Todd Gray of Equinox, David Varley of Bourbon Steak and RJ Cooper of Rouge 24. The 10th Annual Sugar and Champagne Affair is hosted by Chef Todd and Ellen Gray of Equinox Restaurant. For a decade, said Ms. Gray, “It has been our pleasure to work year-round to ensure that Sugar and Champagne remains the year’s best known and must-attend, pet-friendly foodie event.” She noted that Sugar and Champagne started in 2001 as a small fundraiser attended by about 50 people and that it now is a nationally known, signature event attracting participation by hundreds of guests, their dogs and leading chefs, pastry chefs and restaurants.
