Thanksgiving Recipes: CREAMSICLE AU GRATIN POTATOES

Executive Chef Kevin Longmire of Shab Row Bistro and Wine Bar in historic Frederick, MD shared this recipe with us for a perfect side dish to your main meal.
Serves 10ppl

INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds creamsicle potatoes
1 quart heavy cream
2 each vanilla beans, scrapped
1 each orange, zested
2 tablespoons salt

METHOD:
Add everything but the potatoes into a large pot and heat
Peel the potatoes and slice very thin
Once the liquid is hot add the potatoes and mix well
Spread out thin and even in a pan and bake at 350 degrees until done (top will be golden brown, about 1 hour).
