Living far from home makes it tough to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom every year.  Show your mom that you love her by spending some quality time with her and making her feel special.  If you're in the DC area, here's some great dining options:


Mari Vanna (1141 Connecticut Ave., NW.  Moms rule the roost at Mari Vanna on Sunday, May 12: bring mom to Dupont Circle's newest Russian eatery for a special Mother’s Day Brunch ($25) from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., which includes unlimited free strawberry mimosas and a complimentary surprise dessert for moms.
