JULY 10: GUEST FAVORITES BEVERAGE TASTING. On Thursday, July 10, Trummer's on Main is serving a special Guest Favorites Beverage Tasting that features four of the restaurant's most popular drinks, including the famous Titanic with a snack from the kitchen, for $35 per person. The drinks will be paired withRockfish Tacos with mango pico de gallo and guacamole from Executive Chef Austin Fausett.
JULY 11: TITANIC BLOWOUT Friday the 11th's celebration is a Titanic Blowout. The restaurant will celebrate its most popular drink with $5 Titanics from 5 p.m., $6 Titanics from 6 p.m. and $7 Titanics from 7 p.m., etc. all night long. Trummer's on Main's famous Titanic, crafted by Co-Owner and Mixologist Stefan Trummer, mixes up vodka, sparkling wine, crushed green grapes, house made champagne sorbet and elderflower elixir. The cocktail is named for its iceberg-like appearance and is normally sold for $13. That night, staff will be selling "I Survived the Titanic" tee-shirts created just for the occasion.

JULY 12: SWINE and BRINE ON THE PATIO. On Saturday, July 12, Trummer's on Main is hosting an afternoon Swine & Brine: All-You-Can-Eat Pig Roast and Grilled Oyster event on the patio from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition to all-you-care-to-eat succulent whole-roasted pig and Rappahannock River oysters straight off the grill, guests can enjoy a buffet of sides, like mojo verde, barbecue sauce, BBQ baked beans, peach panzenella, sourdough bread, and coleslaw. Oysters will also be available raw for the full Rappahannock experience. The party includes a raffle with fabulous prizes, including gift certificates to the restaurant and Trummer's on Main tee-shirts. This event costs $35, and spots can be reserved by calling the restaurant at 703-266-1623.

Chez Billy celebrates Bastille Day with a party Sunday, July 13 (the day before). DJ Yann Talvez spins throughout the night, light hors d'oeuvres will be served, and $5 glasses of wine will be available all night. The full dinner menu will also be available.
JULY 13: TRUMMER'S SIGNATURE DISH THROWBACK DINNER. On Sunday, July 13, Executive Chef Austin Fausett is digging through past recipes to serve up the restaurant's most popular dishes over the last five years for a Trummer's SIGNATURE DISH THROWBACK DINNER. Diners will choose from the most beloved appetizers, main courses and desserts in the restaurant's five-year history. The three-course meal, with four choices per course, will cost $38 per person. Reservations are recommended, and can be reserved by calling the restaurant at 703-266-1623.


Slow Food DC will host an event at Dolcezza’s Gelato Factory this coming Sunday, July 13th at 6:30 PM. Dolcezza Co-Owner Robb Duncan and Zach Lester from Tree & Leaf Farms will be on-hand, and demonstrate the art of making seasonal herb-filled gelato. In celebration of Bastille Day, on Monday, July 14, the Wine House in Fairfax, VA is hosting a Bastille Day Burgundy Dinner featuring Albert Bichot, with special guest and host Guillaume Suss. The six-course meal features dishes sush as Chilled Cucumber and Ginger Soup, Tuna Tartare with Soft Dijon Mustard and Crème Fraiche paired with wines including the 2011 Albert Bichot Domaine Long Depaquit Chablis and a 2009 Albert Bichot Morgon. The cost of the dinner is $89 per person ($79 per person for wine club members) and begins at 7:00pm. Taste the flavors of Virginia at Wildfire, Tysons Galleria, 3rd floor, McLean, VA, as you dine on a five- course dinner paired with the wines of Virginia’s renowned Barboursville Vineyards. Wildfire Executive Chef Edwin Amaya will create a custom menu, and Jason Tesauro of Barboursville Vineyards will speak about the wines. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 starting with passed appetizers and the first pairing at 6:30 p.m., followed by a seated dinner at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $75/per person, plus tax (not including gratuity).
