RE-Opening: Urbana

By Claire Goldman

Urbana in the Palomar Hotel is back in business after a brief hiatus from the scene.  The Dupont bar/restaurant has undergone a face lift in order to open up the space.  With emphasis on the bar, which now open and accessible from both sides, Urbana has also introduced new cocktails.

For the re-opening, guests were encouraged to participate in the #NameThatCocktail challenge.  The ingredients included Orange bitter, ramazotti amaro, bols genever & maraschino liquer.  I dubbed it the "Sweet Cherriline bum bum bum" but they decided to go in another direction...

For the Urbana bottomless brunch devotees have no fear, the $17 endless Bellini brunch will still be offered in the updated space.  The menu has an Italian focus and the restaurant is known for its giant fire burning brick oven producing piping hot pizzas.
