Hank’s Oyster and Lounge
will now be extending its popular menu of New England beach fare to include
lunch service exclusively on Fridays. Located just off Dupont Circle at
1624 Q Street, NW, Hank’s will offer fresh lunchtime dishes that are easy on
the
wallet as everything will be priced under $18. Lunch at Hank’s debuts
Friday, October 21st and will be available from 11:30 AM until 3 PM.
Hank’s Bar and Lounge will offer an enticing variety of
small plates that are perfect for sharing or grabbing a quick bite during a busy
Friday. Small plate offerings include Popcorn Shrimp & Calamari;
Lobster Bisque; Fried Oysters and Arugula Salad with fennel and
radish. A selection of larger plate entrees will also be available
with standouts to such as Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Grits with bacon
and
watercress; Lobster Roll with Old Bay fries; Smoked Trout Cobb Salad and
the Hank’s Burger. Prices for small plates range from $6 to $10
and
large plates range from $9 to $18.
Hank’s juicy, mouth-watering sandwich specials are sure to
cure any afternoon slump. Priced from $9 to $13, sandwich specials include
Crispy Shrimp Po’Boy with coleslaw and cayenne remoulade; Smoked Salmon
Reuben with coleslaw, Swiss cheese and cayenne remoulade on marble rye
and Hank’s BLT with apple wood smoked bacon, thick slices of tomato and
arugula on sourdough toast.
A rotating list of daily specials will always be available
that are priced from $11 to $15. Highlights not to be missed include
Steamed Blue Bay Mussels with garlic Chablis, parsley and butter; Marinated
Sablefish with soy balsamic glaze, sesame seeds and watercress, as well
as Open Faced Steak Sandwich with horseradish mayo, and house pickled
onions. Additionally, a raw bar with a rotating selection of oysters,
shrimp, clams and ceviche will also be available.
The hours of operation for the new Hank’s Bar and Lounge
in
Washington, D.C. are as follows: Monday – Wednesday from 5 PM to 12 AM; Friday
from 5 PM to 2 AM; Saturday from 11 AM to 2 AM and Sunday from 11 AM to
12
AM.
