Thinking of Drinking: Violet Beauregard Part 2

If you are the type of cocktail lover that doesn't want their drink to be overly sweet, you'll love the Violet Beauregard Part 2.  This drink is made with the Italian apertif, Aperol.  Aperol is an orange flavored spirit that is slightly less bitter than Campari. Salute!

Violet Beauregard Part 2
Available at Ripple

1 oz liquor de violettes
.5 oz aperol
.5 oz lemon juice
4 oz dry sparkling wine (Ripple uses sete vente quatro, vino spumente)

Stir first three ingredients with ice. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon twist.

*If you don't have Aperol, you can substitute 1/ ounce of Campari plus 1/2 ounce of simple syrup.
