Overview: Floriana

Initial Thoughts:
  • Would I go back?  Yes.
  • Service:  Outstanding
  •  Design and Decor:  Located in DC's Dupont Circle neighborhood, Floriana's occupies a historic brick-stone row house that has been converted into a cozy restaurant, but hasn't given up the feel of coming over to someones home for dinner. Also offers patio seating for 26 guests.  Super cute!
  •  Food:  Delicious handmade Italian pasta
  • Drinks: Great wine list and fun cocktails
Floriana has been one of my go-to spots for the past couple of years.  I love to sit on the patio when the weather is nice and enjoy great food and drinks with friends.  Although Floriana herself is no longer in the kitchen, the restaurant recently hired a new chef and he's doing a fine job.

The tuna tartar is the perfect beginning to the meal with the light fresh flavors.

The lobster and scallop risotto is so creamy that melts in your mouth.

The lasagna offers the ultimate comfort made with a bechamel sauce.  Delicious!

For dessert, I can never pass up tiramisu.  Love it!  Stop in soon to give it a try!!  Every Sunday and Wednesday night Floriana's offers half-price bottles of wine.
