A Trip to Livingstone Island in Zambia

My adrenaline was already pumping after getting soaked at Victoria Falls and jumping off the bridge, but the day was just getting started.

We'd heard about Livingstone Island, but didn't really know what to expect.
Our guide took us over to The Royal Livingstone Hotel to catch a small boat. The trip to Livingstone Island is just one of many activities that Tongabezi offers. We loaded onto the boat and could see the mist of the Falls in the distance.
Within ten minutes we reached land and stepped off into a muddy hike to get to the edge.
Alpha Omega said, "Who's ready to go for a swim?" At first, I had no plan to climb rock-by-rock over to a small pool at the edge of the falls.
Then I just decided to go for it. You only live once and how many times will you be in Zambia and get to truly experience it. I felt so alive!
We did it and it was amazing!
It is this feeling of fear and excitement that makes a visit to Zambia a must! After our "swim", we were treated to a delicious lunch on the island with great company. I'd highly recommend the Livingstone Island excursion.
