Poste Modern Brasserie hosts Virginia’s Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company for a special beer dinner Thursday, March 6th with head brewer April Anderson. Chef Dennis Marron has crafted a six course tasting menu which includes: Rabbit and Foie Gras Terrine en croute, leek gelee, sweet apple syrup paired with Devil’s Backbone’s Berliner Metro Weiss- Berliner Weissbier; 5 Spice Dusted Pork Tenderloin with a plum sauce paired with the brewery’s Dark Abbey and a Cinnamon Crème Caramel, canales, smoked vanilla marshmallow paired with Cask Conditioned Vienna Lager brewed with vanilla, cinnamon and wood chips. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7:30pm. Tickets are $75 (all inclusive) for reservations call 202.783.6060. Art and Soul continues its monthly Saturday Suppers series of intimate, family-style meals hosted by Executive Chef Wes Morton and his team with a dinner inspired by pub fare of the British Isles. The March 8 meal includes favorites like scotch eggs, house-made corned beef and sticky toffee pudding. The meal will begin and end with whiskey and each dish will be paired with craft beer from the UK. The event begins at 7 p.m. and costs $65 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity. Sunday, March 9, POV at the W Washington DC will host the official Broken Bells and Au Revoir Simone pre-party from 1pm-7pm. Au Revoir Simone will do a DJ set and there will be specialty cocktails for $10 and select beers for $7. This event is free and open to the public, guests are just asked to RSVP to WFunday@brandlinkdcrsvp.com
