Alba Osteria is hosting a Southern Italy Wine Dinner on Sunday, March 16th at 6 PM featuring wines from importer Alberto Panella of The Grappoli Group. Priced at $75 per person, (tax and gratuity excluded), the menu will consist of five courses prepared by Executive Chef Roberto Donna and Chef de Cuisine Amy Brandwein. Each course will be paired with delicious Italian wines, including2012 Castellucci Miano, Cararrano “Miano”; 2011 D’Angelo, Aglianico Igt Basilicata; 2010 Duca Carlo Guarin, Primitvo “Vigne Vecchie”; 2010 Duca Carlo Guarini, Negroamaro “Tenuta Piutri”; and 2009 Duca Carlo Guarini, Negroamaro Passito “Rarum”.

Who needs work on St. Patrick’s Day when Fado opens at 8am? Join Fado Irish Pub on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17 for a full day of festivities, from breakfast to Guinness! Live music by 40 Thieves begins at 1pm, and the Lloyd Dobbler Effect will take the stage at 8pm. For only a $10 cover, spend your day at an Irish pub celebrating the day when everyone’s Irish! Ovvio Osteria will be hosting a beer dinner featuring beers from Yards Brewery in Philadelphia on Wednesday, March 18. Guest cicerone, Jason Hulse will be guiding guests through a tasting of the Yard’s portfolio paired with a tasting menu prepared by Chef Giovanni Carlo. This five-course dinner will kick off at 7 pm with house marinated olives and the Philadelphia Pale Ale. The menu features charcuterie paired with the Yards Brawler, blue bay mussels paired with General Washington’s Yard Porter, mint pappardelle paired with Poor Richard’s Tavern Spice and house-made pizza paired with Yards IPA. The dinner will end with prosciutto vanilla infused ricotta cannoli and Chocolate Love Stout.

On Wednesday, March 19th, the Capella will unveil its latest series with Elie Tahari, the New York based luxury designer who is celebrating his 40th anniversary in the fashion business. The trunk show will include the women’s and men’s Spring 2014 collection in addition to the “Elie Tahari Edition 1974” capsule collection featuring updated iconic silhouettes from the designers past four decades in business. Admission to the shopping event is limited and priced at $40 per person inclusive of one signature spring cocktail as well as a two-course lunch at The Grill Room where the style series will take place. Customers will have access to the fashion label’s top consultants and the opportunity to purchase items on the spot. Capella’s Resident Stylist, April Yvonne will also be on-hand to share her fashion advice with guests.
